Fort Myers Apartment RentalsThe market for rental apartments in Fort Myers, FL is good for renters. There are new places like the Oasis Grand which offers luxury, waterfront townhomes. The Wilson Company has 2 complexes in the area - Westchase and Westwood - both within a few blocks of each other. IMT Residential also has The Place at Summerlin and Reflections within their portfolio of apartment communities. One bedroom apartments rent for $500 to $685 and the 2 bedroom units go for $555 to $700. We were also able to find 3 bedroom apartments for under $800 in some regions. The Property Management Counselors Group had one of the largest inventories of available apartments with 6 complexes to choose from in Fort Myers, 2 in Naples, and several more throughout the gulf side of Florida. We suggest checking with multiple apartment managers about current availability and ask questions about things like pet (are they ok), what are the lease terms, how about parking, amenities, location, is public transportation close by, etc. The more questions you ask the better idea you will have if you want to see the unit. No sense in wasting your time looking at apartments that will never do. If you can find a roommate, you can drastically reduce your monthly rental cost. Lastly, check online for any reviews you can find from current or past tenants to find out things like - noise levels, maintenance and repair response times, manager personalities, and whatever else is mentioned.

Not all rental homes have refrigerators or washers and dryers like apartments. You may even be required to maintain the yard a bit. Overall, check out at least 5 properties before commiting to anything.
