The Old Town region of Fort Collins is close to campus and there are plenty of housing/apartment rentals to choose from. Surrounding CSU are complexes like Landmark Apartments and Cambridge House Apartments. You can literally walk or bike to school from these places which is perfect for college kids that don't have cars. There are online reviews for the vast majority of apartment communities for those searching for off-campus housing. Read up on what other tenants have to say about noise levels, parking issues, maintenance and repairs, and management friendliness. What are rent prices? We took some numbers from the Stone Creek Apartment Homes website to give you an example. One bedroom one bath apartments rent for $815 or more and 2 bedroom 1 bath apartments go for $995. If you can handle shared housing, that is the best way to reduce your monthly rent and limit your expenses. They also offer larger places with 5 bedrooms - near campus as well - that are under $2000. Great for sharing with fellow students. Armadillo Property Management has a few properties they rent - including duplexes and condos. Many of the agencies we contacted online were completely booked early in the year and recommend that anyone wanting to rent a house near downtown or the campus get on a waiting list as soon as possible.
