El Paso Apartment Rentals

El Paso sits right at the border with the United States and Mexico. El Paso has increased its population over the years and this has created some issues when it comes to apartments and rental housing in general. The student population at UTEP causes many apartment complexes to fill up each summer as anything near campus is booked. Rents are still fairly reasonable compared to other cities this size, but you'll want to do your research before signing any lease. If we had to choose one company to work with it would be Integrity Asset Management - they literally manage 50 apartment communities within the El Paso region. This leaves you with lot of options in terms of rent prices, locations, and floor plans. Do you want to be near the University Texas El Paso campus? How about finding an apartment to rent downtown? Each communitiy has its own website with photos, descriptions, and floorplans. Many list current availability, prices, and phone numbers and addresses. Rents are in the $500 to $600 range for 1 bedroom unfurnished apartments and 2 bedroom townhomes are closer to $900.

Here are some more resources to aid in your apartment shopping:
Apartment Inspection Checklist - take this on your walkthrus and jot down notes.
Avoid Renters Remorse: parking, noise, etc. Check this list.
Rules for Renting a Condo: Condos are a little different..
Your Credit Report: What is shows, what to look for.

Homes for Rent in El Paso, TX:

How much are rental homes in El Paso? We found several 3 bedroom 2 bath houses for rent that go from $1000 to $1250/month. Northern Pass Properties lists quite a few homes for rent on their website. Complete with location, photos, description, prices, and floorplans. Capitol Properties is another excellent source when looking for a property to rent. They have inventory scattered throughout town and again you get pictures, addresses, deposit information, pets ok or not, and the date it becomes available to rent. Our favorite website is run by Rental Network El Paso and their listings include a fourplex, duplex, townhouse, and quite a few single family residences. Contact these property management companies and see what they have that will match what you are looking for. With a few, simple questions, you should be able to get at least 5 properties to view. Always look at a minimum of 5 rentals as you'll want to compare rents with locations and amenities.
