Firstly, those looking for luxury apartments to rent in downtown Dallas, consider places like Gables Republic Tower with 1 and 2 bedroom units available. The one bedroom apartments start at $1500/month and the 2 bedroom units are priced at $2000+/month. The 35 story tower is close to everything downtown including a DART station. West End Station Apartments are located at 800 Ross Avenue - you get urban living with loft style apartments. Single bedroom apartments go for about $1100/month while the 2 bedroom 2 bath units start at roughly $1800/month. Great location and newer amenities make this a popular spot amongst young professionals. For students attending Southern Methodist University (SMU), the The Lofts At Mockingbird Station are pretty much next door to campus and rents start at $1200/month. As you go further out towards Richardson and Plano, rents will decrease, but your commute into the city will increase. Complexes like Lincoln at Towne Square in Plano have apartment rentals for $750 and up while providing excellent amenities.

CW Sparks Realty has a decent selection of rental homes in Dallas with several 3 bedroom 2 bath units to choose from. DFWhomerental.com is another excellent website with hundreds of active homes for rent in Dallas and the surrounding cities. Choose by price or bedrooms and then select the city. Before going to look at any property for rent always talk with the property manager about things like lease terms, are pets allowed, what is parking like, is it close to public transportation, floorplans, etc. Get an idea of what you are getting into before wasting your time viewing any rental house.
