Columbus Apartment Rentals
Columbus, OH is a bustling city that is home students, young professionals, and families. Housing in and around the city is afforable and there are a variety of living options - apartments, homes, condos, and downtown lofts. Where do you want to live? There is the River District South - the Annex at River South is an upscale community with 1 bedroom units starting at $820 and 2 bedroom apartments ranging from $1250 up to $1950. How about the Arena District and Vine St area. You'll find the Arena Crossing Apts and the Flats on Vine. Sixty Spring is in the heart of downtown and offers luxury industrial lofts/apartments right off of Spring Street. The Belmont Apartments are located on East Town Street and reviews are positive for this small complex. Affordable living that is still close to most downtown activities. The rents range from $300 to $530 a month - the places are small - but you can also get shorter lease terms which is great for students. Franklin University and Columbus State Community College are nearby. The Ohio State University is a bit further north as you head out of the downtown region. Apartments near Ohio State campus include University Manors, Harrison Apts, Colony Square Apts, and North Steppe Realty has plenty of listings as well.
Not everyone is fit to live in a loft downtown or an apartment next to Ohio State University. Others prefers living in a house or larger townhome. We suggest using a property management company or real estate agency that has lots of rental properties to choose from. One good example is Ohiostaterentals.com - the list of 3, 4, 5, and 6 bedroom homes to rent is extensive. We saw several listings for 3 bedroom homes that rent for $1300/month, 4 bedroom rental homes for $1600, and 5 to 6 bedroom houses for rent that are still under $2000. Split that up with some roommates and you'll be looking at pretty cheap rent. C.R. O'Neil & Co has quite a selection as well with mostly homes for rent in the Columbus region. Gas Properties carries dozens of rental properties near the OSU campus, but you'll need to book early as they book up fast. Almost all the 1, 2, and 3 bedroom units were sold out at the time of this article. Students jump on these conveniently located rentals early, so apply as soon as possible or get your name on a list. Lastly, Beacon Property Management has an availability list on their website and they currently have openings for many condos and townhomes that are on the east side of town. Most of the Old North Columbus locations were not available for rent. Always check with property managers about key things like - are pets allowed, do you get parking, what are the lease terms, is there security, how are repairs handled, rent prices, etc.
