University of Oregon Apartment/Condo/Townhome Rentals

If you will be attending the University of Oregon or Lane Community College, finding a place to live should be your first priority. The rental market in Eugene, Oregon is much like any other college town in that housing is not easy to find. Whether you are looking for on campus or off-campus housing, you'll need to get started months in advance to secure the best spots. The Ducks of University of Oregon, are a school with over 20,000 full-time students and your best bet is to contact on campus housing HERE as soon as you know you will be attending the university. They like to say they don't just offer the typical "dorm room" but you get to live in residence halls on campus that provide more of a community feeling amongst the students. As the schools get more crowded, it's not always an option to live on campus during your freshman year so be prepared to locate off campus housing. We recommend getting started at the ASUO Rental Directory - this stands for Associated Students of University of Oregon. If you scroll to the bottom of that page and hit the 'search' button you'll find plenty of housing options that are off campus. Find rooms for rent in a house, apartments, shared housing, etc. The vast majority of leases around college campuses run from June or July through the year, so don't wait until August to land a good spot. What are rents in Eugene? Rooms might go for $250 while a decent 1 bedroom apartment will go for $550. We found several apartments that offer commuter buses to the University of Oregon or to Lane Community College. Check with the apartment complex or property owner and find out about bus lines. Many students find that having a car can be more of a hassle than not, especially with finding parking spaces on or around the campus. You can literally ride your bike across campus within 5 or 10 minutes and the town is fairly small as well. The weather in Eugene isn't always the best, but riding a bike in a little rain shouldn't stop you. Apartments will usually have no problems renting to younger college students, but you may need your parents or legal guardian to sign off on some paperwork (in case damages are incurred on the rental unit). A great spot near campus is Skybox - located in the Arena District they offer 2, 3, and 4 bedroom units that start at $600+/month.

  • Stewardship Rentals Offers 1, 2, 3, and 4 bedroom apartment floor plans and rental house opportunities. Many of their units sells out before the school year even starts, so contact them early. Their properties are close to both Lane CC and University of Oregon campuses. Several are right on the bus lines to either school as well.
  • Duck's Village This complex is located at 3225 Kinsrow Ave, Eugene, OR 97401. It's literally right across from Autzen Stadium. 1, 2, 3, and 4 bedroom units to choose from with laundry facilities on site. They have a huge swimming pool, rec room, exercise room, and plenty of amenities for young students. Rents start at just over $400/person.
  • Capri Apartments at Eugene Just a few minutes from the campus, this community offers 1 bedrooms up to quads with shared or private baths, assigned parking, fitness center, laundry, gated access, and more. You can find them on the map at 1863 Kincaid Street, Eugene, OR 97403. The overhead map on their websites give you a good birds-eye view of where all the amenities are located. Great for those that don't have a car and need quick access to campus live and the surrounding area.
  • Stadium Park Apartments Very popular off-campus housing solution with a shuttle that takes you to the campus. The location is near Autzen, but the convenient shuttle bus will get you to campus for classes. While classes are in session, you can also get on their own shuttle to Lane Community College. The place is loaded with amenities - we suggest checking out their website for floorplans, pricing, and photos.
  • Chase Village Apartments Located at 375 Marche Chase Drive in Eugene, they have 1, 2, and 3 bedroom units available with pricing starting at $720. Get access to pools, tanning beds, hot tubs, bike storage and more.

Property Management Rentals in U of O/Eugene Region

We know that housing can be in tight demand around college campuses and Eugene has their fair share of issues as well. The one option that many younger adults don't realize is at their disposal are property management companies. They specialize in much more than just apartments or on-campus housing. Property management groups and companies often give you the best variety of housing options - rental homes, condos, rentals just for students, etc. The city of Eugene is no different than all other cities in that they too have dozens of property management groups that can help you locate a rental. The one caveat is that most of these companies will require your parents or guardians to sign on the rental agreement since they are often representing the owner of the property in the transaction and they need to be extra cautious when dealing with college age students. Eugene Rentals is a nice place to start as they traditionally list dozens of campus rentals for the University of Oregon. We found several 2 and 3 bedroom houses for rent - $800 to $1200 monthly. Even if you are looking to rent as an individual, these companies can often help get you into a house or condo situation with other roommates. See our list below of rental management companies in the Eugene area and find a spot near Lane CC or U of O.
  • Jennings Group - Dozens of listings for apartments and homes in the Eugene region including Springfield, Junction City, Harrisburg, and McKenzie. Search for apartments or single family homes right on their website and fill out an application to apply online.
  • Chinook Properties - Nice selection of rentals in and around the Eugene area. More houses than apartment listings, so probably better suited for those that want roommates. Their office is located at 1590 High Street, Eugene, OR 97401. You can call them at 541-484-0493.
  • Von Klein Property Management - They list dozens of units available at the Patterson House Apartments and Hilyard House Apartments. Choose from studios, 1 bedrooms, and 2 bedroom units. Rents start at around $650/studio and go up from there. The location for Patterson House is within 2 blocks of the U of O and perfect for those that have bikes or are ok with a short walk to campus. Most of the properties show availability from September through August.
  • Bell Realty - Their office is located at 630 River Road, Eugene, OR 97404. You can reach them by phone at 541-688-2060. Their listings are ok for Eugene, but not as good as the other companies we have listed above. Check out their website for a complete listing.
