Chicago Apartment Rentals

Apartment rents in Chicago are very expensive, but there are dozens of great neighborhoods you can live in to help ease the pain. Living downtown in the "loop" or near Grand Ave or Michigan Ave are great choices, although rents in this zone are going to be the priciest. There are high rise, luxury apartments scattered throughout the downtown region - one such place is the Fisher Building City Apartments on S. Dearborn which are priced at about $1400 or more for a 1 bedroom apartment (roughly 700 square feet). Two bedroom units are closer to $2000. Close by are some of the newest West Loop luxury apartments you'll find at 180 North Jefferson. Rates for a studio start at $1475 and the 1 bedroom apartments are priced closer to $1800/month. Again, not cheap by any means, but the views are incredible from these luxury downtown apartments. As you cross the river and head north a bit check out the Onterie Center Apartments on East Erie Street. They offer studios, 1, 2, and 3 bedroom units. You get 24 hour front desk security, a 360 degree sun deck, dry cleaners on-site, parking garage, and the list goes on. The selection includes apartments and loft style living, right next to Lake Michigan. Lincoln Property Company also lists several apartment buildings throughout the Chicago metro area and we have their website listed below for further details. If you go further north up to Lincoln Park area - great for young professionals - we suggest looking at the Planned Property Management website for apartment listings. Even Wrigleyville (where the cubs play) is not too far north as it's easy to jump on the "L" train and get into the city.

Property Management Rentals in Chicago, IL:

Chicago is the classic example of a city that is just too big to know exactly where to live. With city or water views abundant from many of the high rise apartment buildings, just which one is best. You can slog through the websites of each apartment building or check out the listings on Craigslist for a while, but we recommend that you use a property management company to help cut through the inventory of possible rentals. If you call them with some specifications of what you are looking for, they can often search there database of availability and and come up with a match. They tend to have dozens more listings than the average apartment community. You can search through apartments, condos, townhomes, houses, you name it. Kass Management Services gets great reviews from tenants for their helpful nature. They list properties for rent in Logan Square, Wicker Park, Lincoln Square, Bucktown, River North, and many more. Real Property Management is another great source for apartments for rent throughout the downtown and outlying areas of Chicago. Our advice is to get one of the companies working on your behalf and then set an appointment to see what they offer. Always disclose important details like - you need a pet friendly apartment, or you have a car that needs covered parking, or you prefer city views. All these things will help them locate an apartment or rental condo much faster and keep you happy.
