Bellingham Apartment Rentals
Looking for an apartment to rent in Bellingham, WA? You have come to the right place as we will guide you through the rental market in this small city north of Seattle but just south of the Canadian border. Interstate 5 freeway runs through town and near the South Hill area is Western Washington University and on the north side of town is the Bellingham International Airport. The city sits on Bellingham Bay so there are water views with several apartment complexes. South Hill Apartments offer views of San Juan Islands, Olympic Mountains and of course Bellingham Bay. They have studio, 1 bedroom, and 2 bedroom units with on-site laundry, utilities included in rent, and new flooring in most units. South Hills Apts is just below the college campus making it a great spot for students that want to walk to school. Padden Creek Apartments are also near campus on 18th Street. Just north of downtown are the Brampton Court Apartments which receive good reviews from tenants. Nearby is Forest Park Apts and just a bit further out is Northbrook Place. If you get out to the east side of I-5, there are 2 places - Sunset Pond and Evergreen Ridge that are worth a look.
Housing in Bellingham is available, but you need to seek out the right sources in order to get the best selection. Apex Property Management gets positive feedback from renters and they have an updated listing of availability on their website. Great selection of studios near WWU ($585/month), 2 bedrooms for $700 at Maplewood Place, and 3 bedroom duplexes or houses in the region. Chuckanut Property Management has a smaller inventory than Apex - they tend to list more 1 bedroom units with rent between $525 and $600. Adams PM lists properties in Lynden and Bellingham - their availability was minimal at the time of this article. Bayview Property Management is the last company we found for a variety of rentals. They list more homes than the rest so if that is what you are looking for, contact them. Be sure to ask any company or property manager about things like AC, parking privileges, laundry facilities, floorplan options, utilities, lease terms, etc. The good thing about working with a property management firm is that they can usually point you to other rentals even if they don't have anything available in their inventory. Scout out locations in town and then call them with your requirements.
