The one thing we know for sure is that prowling the apartment websites and Craigslist can often leave you with too scattered of a selection when looking for a rental apartment or home. One common resource that almost all people don't use enough are the property management companies in a city. Not only do they typically handle multiple properties, they can certainly get you in contact with apartment complexes or condo owners that have availability. That is their job. They are almost like having a personal agent on your side. We suggest starting with someone like Snyder & Snyder Property Management - they handle mostly rental houses, but we did find several apartments for rent amongst their listings. Wolf & Kline PM is another excellent source as they offer rentals with apartment complexes and residential properties. They work with Stonecreek Court, Willow Creek, Sycamore Acres, and Brookview Estates - just to name a few. Just contact one of these property management teams and they will most likely be able to work with your preferences to find you something. Always make sure you check out at least 4 to 5 places before commiting to anything. Akron is not a huge city, but each neighborhood has a slightly different feel and offers something different.
